Occupational Therapy

Through play-based activities, occupational therapists build fine motor, sensory processing, and everyday independence skills — supporting families across Anoka, Hennepin, Ramsey, Washington, Scott, and Dakota counties. Occupational Therapy is provided through Kids Care Inc.’s contracted partner agency.
What Is Occupational Therapy?

Building the skills behind everyday independence

Occupational therapy (OT) helps children develop the fine motor, sensory processing, and self-care skills they need for everyday life — from holding a pencil to getting dressed to managing sensory input in a busy classroom. Sessions are playful, hands-on, and built around real-world goals. This service is delivered by Kids Care Inc.’s contracted partner agency, not directly by Kids Care Inc. staff, and follows the partner agency’s own evaluation and scheduling process.
What OT sessions focus on
Fine Motor Skills
Strengthening the hand and finger control needed for writing, buttons, and utensils.
Sensory Integration
Helping children process and respond to sensory input more comfortably.
Everyday Independence
Building skills for dressing, feeding, and other daily self-care routines.
Play-Based Activities
Therapeutic goals delivered through activities your child actually enjoys.
